Donnafugata – Lighea Zibibbo
“From the disheveled tresses the colour of the sun, seawater flowed over the green, wide-open eyes.” Thus Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa describes Lighea, the bewitching siren and principal figure in his novel. She has inspired the creation of a complex and innovative wine and an equally original label.
The vineyards are in Pantelleria, Sicily, Southern Italy.
TASTE PROFI LE
The wine is rich in golden-green reflections. Aromas of beautiful white roses and acacia, followed by mineral and salty notes. Peach and zagara emerge finishing with thorn tree, candied citrus rind and a touch of honey. On the palate, a great correspondence between taste and olfactory. A fresh, sapid and enveloping structure. Recommended with all types of fish, baked pasta in white sauce or fried fish.

The nose offers a rich and fragrant bouquet with classic notes of orange blossom combined with citrus scents (citron and bergamot) and exotic fruit (litchis). The fruity and flowery notes return on the palate accompanied by marked freshness, with good persistence and a pleasant mineral finish.
