Based in the famous Piedmont region of northwestern Italy, Pico Maccario is taking a modern approach to both vineyard management and production of their wines.
Mia Barbera d’Asti DOCG is made from 100% Barbera grapes, sourced from the youngest vineyards on the estate.
A light, approachable red, it opens with lovely floral and vibrant cherry fruit aromas so often associated with the Barbera grape. The vibrant flavours of red cherries are elegantly enhanced by subtle hints of violets and herbs, creating a complex and refined blend without the use of oak. A sensational value Italian red suitable for both sipping on its own or with a light Italian meal, pizza and cold meats included.
