Feudi di San Gregorio picks the best grapes to prpduce wines in the “Selezioni” range, able to express the essence and the merits of Irpinia’s territory.
Cutizzi is the best expression of Greco, for which grapes were selected from the chalky soil of Santa Paolina. The famous denomination is that of Greco di Tufo DOCG. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature and always between 16°-18°C. Then follows a period of maturation that extends for about 4-5 months in steel tanks with permanence on their yeasts and repeated bâtonnage to put in suspension the fine lees.
The nose is intense and persistent with a distinct fruity note, green plum and the typical bell pear, minty. The taste is mouth enveloping, you can immediately perceive the acidic chgaracter and the pronounced minerality typical of the territory alongside a good body. The finish is long and satisfying.
This wine is excellent with raw seafood, buffalo mozzarella, fish cooked in the typical “acqua pazza” style. It should be served fresh at 12°C in a high and wide glass that enhances the aromas.
