The Chianti ‘Uomo Vitruviano’ from the Leonardo Da Vinci  winery is a fresh and dynamic Chianti interpretation. This label aims to celebrate one of the most well-known wine regions in the world, whose wines, exported to every corner of the globe, have become synonymous with Tuscan identity.
Leonardo Da Vinci ‘Uomo Vitruviano’ Chianti consists of a blend of Sangiovese (85%), Merlot (10%), and other black grape varieties grown in the hilly areas of Vinci and the surrounding municipalities in the province of Florence. In particular, the vineyards rest on alluvial soils rich in marine shell fossils dating back to the Pliocene, situated at an altitude ranging from 40 to 130 meters above sea level with various exposures, predominantly south-facing. The harvest takes place between September and October and is followed by red winemaking of the grapes, with alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks associated with about 8 days of skin maceration. The subsequent aging lasts for a few months and takes place in stainless steel tanks.air-conditioned.
Ruby red color with deep purple reflections. The nose is intense with its fruity sensations of cherry, sour cherry, and black pepper that blend with pleasant notes of forest spices and black pepper. The taste is well-balanced and has good structure, with excellent freshness that gives smoothness to the progression, accompanied by a beautiful tannic texture. The producer’s recommendation is to pair this Chianti with cold cuts and cheeses, pizza, first courses dressed with light meat sauces, or second courses based on white meats.
