Description
The Fattoria del Colle Estate produces Chianti Superiore, DOC Orcia wines, Brunello di Montalcino and Extra Virgin Olive Oil and has been owned by Donatella Cinelli Colombini since 1998. The altitude of the Estate, which sits some 400m above sea level, and the variances in daytime and nighttime temperatures imparts a particular richness and aromatic nuance to the wines it produces as they tend to be intense, complex and particularly fine. The rampant lion, seen on the Leone Rosso’s label, is the symbol of Donatella Cinelli Colombini’s ancestors, who built Fattoria del Colle in 1592.
